Live Nation’s “Summer of Live” promotion is now underway, offering fans all-in tickets to more than 4,000 shows across the U.S. and Canada for just $30. The deal runs through April 29 and includes a wide range of artists with upcoming Southern California dates, including Wu-Tang Clan, Lucy Dacus, Weird Al Yankovic, Kid Cudi, PUP, Deer Tick, Iron Maiden, Paul Simon, MGK, Luke Bryan, Eagles of Death Metal, and DEVO, as well as Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival and the Pussycat Dolls. According to Variety, the sale is designed to give fans more budget-friendly access to live events in a year when headline prices have been rising sharply.
The $30 price point is meant to be “all-in,” covering fees so that the advertised price is what fans actually pay at checkout. Consequence reports that the promotion includes arena shows, amphitheaters, and club dates across nearly every major genre, from hip-hop and country to metal and pop. While not all seats at every venue fall under the promotion, Live Nation has set aside inventory at each participating show specifically for the $30 deal.
The SoCal Connection
For Southern California concertgoers, the timing aligns with a busy late spring and summer touring schedule. Several participating artists have already announced local stops that will be part of the sale. Wu-Tang Clan is set to appear at Yaamava Theater in Highland on October 1, while Lucy Dacus plays Hollywood Bowl on September 13 and Paul Simon takes the same stage on June 7 and 9. Kid Cudi has scheduled dates at Crypto.com Arena and North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre on June 26 and 27, respectively. Iron Maiden will bring its heavy metal tour to BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on September 25 and 27.
Fans of smaller rooms and club shows will also find options under the $30 umbrella. PUP plays Highland Park and The Glass House in early May, while Deer Tick stops at Teragram Ballroom, Constellation Room, and Belly Up Tavern across Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego in October. Eagles of Death Metal will also appear at Belly Up Tavern and The Bellwether, and Weird Al Yankovic brings his comedy-rock tour to Honda Center, Acrisure Arena, and The Rady Shell throughout September.
What This Means for Local Fans
For Southern California audiences, the promotion offers a rare chance to catch high-profile acts without the sticker shock that often accompanies arena and amphitheater tickets. Brooklyn Vegan notes that the lineup includes both legacy acts like Guns N’ Roses and Alabama Shakes, as well as rising indie names, giving fans across genres a reason to check the calendar. The timing of the sale, ahead of peak summer travel and festival season, suggests Live Nation is aiming to fill seats earlier in the year and lock in fan commitments while prices are front-of-mind.
From an editorial perspective, the $30 flat rate also tests how much price elasticity remains in the live market after years of steep increases and service fees. If these shows sell quickly, it could signal that fans are still eager to attend concerts when costs are transparent and predictable. Even if not every seat in the house is available at the discount, the promotion should still help lower the barrier for entry for fans who might otherwise skip pricier nights out.
As the “Summer of Live” sale continues through April 29, expect more local shows to be added under the $30 umbrella. For now, fans planning to see Wu-Tang Clan or any of the other participating acts in Southern California should check the Live Nation platform and the artist pages on SoCalNomad for updates and inventory availability.
