RUSH opened tonight’s Juno Awards, the annual ceremony celebrating Canadian music. The reunion of Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson was not announced in advance, but was teased in the band’s newsletter earlier this week (fans were told to tune in for a “special moment”)., as Stereogum reports.
NME independently reported that throughout their performance, footage featuring the late Neil Peart played on a screen.
The performance served as the live debut of drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold. (Consequence)
The SoCal Angle
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson surprised everyone with their appearance at the Juno Awards, and Angelenos will have their own chance to witness Rush’s legendary live show when they hit the Kia Forum in June 2026. This rock powerhouse continues to draw massive crowds, proving their enduring appeal to the Los Angeles concert scene.
