In the fall of 1992, Fugazi traveled to Chicago to record with Steve Albini at his studio Electrical Audio, which at the time was located in a basement on North Francisco. The band and Albini had admired each other from afar, and they struck up an immediate affinity during the sessions., as reported by Stereogum.
Consequence confirmed that proceeds from the previously unreleased recordings will benefit a charity in Albini’s honor.
These 1992 sessions at Albini’s Electrical Audio studio were the same songs Fugazi would re-record for 1993’s ‘In On The Killtaker. (Brooklyn Vegan)
