BTS Announces March 2026 Comeback Album and World Tour

Global K-pop superstars BTS have officially confirmed their long-awaited comeback with a new album scheduled for March 20, 2026, ending a nearly four-year hiatus. The announcement, shared by entertainment company BigHit Music on social media, marks the group’s first new album since 2022’s anthology “Proof” and their last studio album “Be” from 2020.

The seven-member group — consisting of RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Suga, Jung Kook, and j-hope — completed their mandatory military service in South Korea, with rapper Suga being the final member to be discharged in June 2025 after serving as a social service agent due to a shoulder injury. The other six members served in the army, with the group strategically staggering their enlistments to allow time for solo projects during the break.

According to NBC LA Entertainment, BTS had previously teased both a world tour and new album last summer, announcing plans to begin working on the project in July 2025. “Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas,” the group stated. “We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.”

The comeback news has generated significant excitement among the group’s devoted global fanbase, known as ARMY, particularly in Southern California where BTS has consistently sold out stadium shows at venues like SoFi Stadium and the Rose Bowl. The Consequence report confirms the album release will be accompanied by a world tour, though specific dates and venues have not yet been announced.

This marks BTS’s first major group activity since their extended hiatus, which saw the members pursue individual projects while fulfilling their military obligations. The March 20 release date positions the album as one of the most anticipated musical events of 2026.
