The Kia Forum in Inglewood will host KROQ’s 35th Almost Acoustic Christmas on December 12, 2026, featuring a powerhouse lineup led by Gorillaz and Joyce Manor alongside Foo Fighters, Weezer, Sublime, and Interpol. As Consequence reports, the annual holiday concert solidifies the venue’s status as Southern California’s premier destination for alternative and rock events, with proceeds benefiting Para Los Niños and the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center.
The announcement comes as Gorillaz continues their North American tour in support of their latest album ‘The Mountain,’ with a particularly emotional recent performance in Chicago. According to NME, collaborator Peven Everett made a triumphant return to the stage with the band on October 8 after reaching a major milestone in his stage 4 cancer treatment, performing ‘Strobelite’ and ‘Stylo’ to an emotional reception.
Tour Dates and Ticket Information
Tickets for Almost Acoustic Christmas 2026 go on sale October 30 at 10:00 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster. The full lineup includes Joyce Manor, Almost Monday, Julia Wolf, and The Linda Lindas alongside the headlining acts. This marks the latest in a series of major rock bookings for the Kia Forum, which has become a consistent anchor for the genre in Southern California despite arena-sized venues increasingly diversifying their programming.
The SoCal Connection
For Southern California music fans, the Kia Forum’s commitment to rock and alternative programming represents a significant cultural touchstone. The venue’s ongoing relationship with KROQ’s signature event reinforces the region’s enduring influence on alternative music landscapes. Gorillaz’s upcoming Southern California appearances—including an October 24 show at the Kia Forum and an October 25 performance at Pechanga Arena San Diego—demonstrate the area’s continued draw for major touring acts. Joyce Manor, who have their own January 2027 show scheduled at the Forum, represent the homegrown talent that complements international headliners.
Looking ahead, the December 12 concert promises to be one of the season’s standout events, combining holiday tradition with a celebration of rock’s ongoing vitality. With multiple artists on the bill having upcoming Southern California shows throughout October, the region remains a critical market for both established and emerging acts in the alternative space.
