In late 2023, the music world was shaken by the death of the Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan. Now, Bruce Springsteen, the Jesus And Mary Chain, Primal Scream, and more are teaming up for a tribute album called 20th Century Paddy – The Songs Of Shane MacGowan, out in November., as Stereogum reports.
Brooklyn Vegan independently reported that ’20th Century Paddy – The Songs of Shane MacGowan’ also features Glen Hansard, Steve Earle, Tom Waits, The Pogues, and more.
The project will be released Nov. 13 through Rubyworks and was spearheaded by MacGowan’s widow, Victory Mary Clarke. (Spin)
